St. Patrick's Day

Well I intended to go to work today wearing my big green hat, but my daughter has an ear infection. At least that is what the doctor said.

This morning I had to call into work and let them know that I would be into work later. Then I got to take my daughter to the doctor by myself for the first time. Before, when my wife Veronica was not working, she would be the one to take the children to the doctor. It wasn't difficult, especially since I only had one of my two children. Carlos, my son, was at daycare. My wife would always have both kids. Much easier with just one.

The nurses and staff at the doctor's office loved my hat. Everyone laughed. I have to figure out how to make an0ther one as this hat is falling apart.

I also did not know the complete routine with the doctor's office. It seems that they give her a lolly pop at the end of each visit. Something my wfie neglected to tell me. As we start to leave my daughter starts to ask for candy. I tell her I don't know about any candy. She gets louder and louder until she is screaming about wanting candy and completely convincing everyone in the office that I have no control over my daughter. Finally the nurse gives me the lolly-pop and my daughter is happy. Why could the nurse not have giving it to me sooner? All welll...lesson learned.
